Mirrors Lie!

Mirrors Lie!

“Mirror O’ Mirror, let me be enslaved
O’ Beholder of beauty, make me as you do”
Why—why you need to—
Why you heed to a mocked voice?
Which your ears should never yield to
For it’s the mask you staring at
Don’t let the semblance deceit you
That shall beguile all your senses
Silken fables they are draped into
Manifesting those lying dreams
Camouflaged faces will appear true
Look in the light of flickering soul
Candor frescoed to wander through!

  1. Mirrors lie, and your poem paints such a beautiful story. Lovely. You have this habit of churning masterpieces everyday now.

  3. look to the soul, not what the mirror shows...mirrors only tell us what we want to see....smiles.....or maybe what we dont....

    1. How true...we see what we want to see...good or bad...but not the real image...Thanks, Brian :)
