Majnun ne phir yun bola, muhabbat hi kaafi thi,
Khaak sa kar dene ko, Laila si Ah hi kaafi thi ..

Shukr  tu ada kar, aashiyan door behad hai tera,
Warna khaatme ko, wahi ek nazar hi kaafi thi ..

Uski hichki  ko, Ae nadan, waseela na samajh,
Warna yaad karne ko, naram saans hi kaafi thi ..

Maghroor hai bohot ishq, Aashiq — Ae nasamajh,
Muhabbat musalsal krne ko ek haan hi kaafi thi …
