Burn

Burn

Sky, Alas, is now dusty gray
Whom now to play a prey
No fancy clouds to ornate
Time bemoans to hibernate
Let my angst be asleep
A deep slumber to keep
Till a Magpie soars to a height
To kiss the nape of Sun's twilight
And, hitherto, I shall return
Again to burn, Again to burn!

  2. Thoda complicated for me. Is this about the Sun or is it about hope or is it about something else? I wish it were in Urdu. The angst is so beautifully conveyed in that tongue.

    1. Thanks Rajesh for coming by :)
It's about an unrevealed anxiety from some source, a source that burns the rest of some soul.....and, it's about the escape from the source ...

  4. The repeating lines of your close really amplify the emotion of this piece. Nice work!

  5. to kiss the nape of the sun,
you would surely burn...it makes for some wonderful
passion play though...and nice rhyme scheme
    to drive the flow...

  6. The name might differ
    but the identity wont change
your words have the passion unchained
    It burned before
    the flame still exists....
